Early Retirement for Me

February 25, 2014 by TUC 8 Comments

There will be no more cool science lessons in the kitchen sink. From now on, playing in the sink will be just for fun. As of this morning I have officially retired as Kimani’s Kindergarten teacher. Today was her first day of school at school, and both of us ended up bawling. First off, let me back up and explain why I am not homeschooling any longer. 1. I told you I would suck at it, and I Continue Reading

Posing at Your Wake

February 24, 2014 by TUC 1 Comment

The first time I saw this phenomenon (on Facebook of course), I did not know what to think of it. The Marin funeral home in San Juan Puerto Rico did a spectacular job of fulfilling 23 year old boxer, Christopher Rivera’s wish that should he die, he wanted to be remembered as a boxer. What better way to do this than to dress him in his boxing gear and pose him in a boxing ring. The funeral home Continue Reading

Moving to this WordPress self-hosted site allows me to combine both of my old Blogspot blogs—Mallory and Peach and The Unknown Contributor—in one place. It also provides a way to collect all of my other social media into one spot as well. Since I don't post duplicate content on any of my social media, I needed a place to bring it all together. Love Adopted Posts specifically about Continue Reading

Sun Shine Down – Book Review

Still Here, Still Cute as Ever

February 2, 2013 by TUC 14 Comments

I hate it when I go out to the RR Already Home page and click the blog links to check on the babies I advocated for, donated to, and generally fell head over heels for, and they are gone. The last post is from forever ago and I have no idea how those children are changing. And don’t you know, I am guilty of it myself. It should not be hard to keep up a blog that is mainly bragging about and Continue Reading

About the author

I am a work-at-home mom to five kids. When I am not wiping butts, scrubbing dishes, doing laundry, cooking, overseeing homework, or (fill in a zillion blanks), I write here to decompress.

I love to write. Most of what I write for this blog is true... but sometimes I lie, in order to tell the real truth... know what I mean?
