Costa Rica – The Videos

Here are a few video highlights of our trip to the southern tip of the Nicoya peninsula in Costa Rica.

My youngest son, Jade, wants very much to visit the ocean. Where he got this desire from and why, I have no idea but one day in the car he told me it was his greatest wish to travel to the beach, an ocean beach. While I was glad to have some much needed alone time with my husband, I wished Jade could have been there on the beach with us to experience the crashing waves. They were too powerful to swim in but we did gingerly wade in a bit. I shot this video for him while perched on a tree stump that had water-worn limbs still on it. I was only about a foot and a half above the beach and as you will see, that was not high enough to keep me dry.

During our vacation we saw several different types of crabs. The ones in the woods on the path to the waterfall were the brightest colored and the prettiest. My brave hubby decided to catch one to show our kids back home. The results were painful, but very funny.

From our Montezuma waterfall canopy tour, this is the #6 line. It is the longest line, and super fast. The views were spectacular.

Here is my reaction to that zipline. I loved it. At that height and speed, it felt like I was flying.

Here is my husband coming in from the same line. You can really see why they have a break built into this line.

And finally, Autumn’s adorable reaction to seeing me when she woke up the morning after we flew home. We got in late so the kids were all (except Gecko) asleep and the little ones had no idea that we would be there that morning. You can hear Masha in the background telling her “no” as she is announcing “mommy!”

I am still picking through hundreds of pictures and 8 days of fabulous memories for an actual post that details what a wonderful time we had.
